Bows were one of the weapons. There are about three types of them. They are bow, regular bow, long bow. Then eventually they invented a crossbow, in which case is stronger and more powerful. Swords were another type of weapon used. There are three types of swords. These swords are regular swords, single-handed swords, and two-handed swords. Hammers were used as last resource. These hammers were given to people that didn't-know how to fight. Daggers were used incase your weapon was not in reach. Also they were used incase the archer was in a close battle with a solider. A sledge weapon was very affective on people and castle walls. Then gunpowder was invented and cannons began to over come castles. If there was a cannon at your door step your done because it was very powerful that is would destroy a stone wall. Burning oil was a weapon that was used to hurt the soldiers or even kill them. Stone were also a weapon because they would throw them down the ramp of a castle.
